greatteamwork
I have logic express. I want to make automation changes to a track, like i would with latch mode, but I want to be more precise. Is there a way to change the volume on a track by making points or drawing a line or something? Thanks

markwhite1980
Fair point, check the manual. I guess you're just after straight forwards automation. Select region, in arrange window select view/hyperdraw and then the desired parameter...volume, panning etc. In more depth other parameters (in fact pretty much all) can be automated. Hit 'A' to bring up automation on arrange window then select from the channel's drop down box which parameter you're after...especially good for filtering effects etc. My one word of advice would be to keep the volume on one or the other level, don't start mixing both or the results can be very confusing! Hope this helps.
