Apizzle
Ok, so I want to reverse one kick hit on my kick track. So I used the slash key to separate the hit I wanted, brought it up in the sample editor to reverse it. NOW, here's the rub, when I reverse this one region the whole entire kick track gets reversed. Please explain.
Scott Jackson
The regions just point at Audio Files so if you reverse, it will reverse the entire Audio File. Select the region you want to reverse then select Audio>Convert Regions to New Audio Files. Reverse the new Audio file.
Apizzle
Really? That's interesting because I thought making a selection inside of the sample editor would actually be working specifically on that selection. But thanks nonetheless SJ! David Nahmani
Really? That's interesting because I thought making a selection inside of the sample editor would actually be working specifically on that selection. You thought right, it applies whatever function you call up only to the selected portion... of the audio file. If multiple regions use the same audio file, all of them will have that same selected portion of the audio file processed. My guess is you took one kick audio file and duplicated the region a bunch of times to make up your kick track. But all your kicks are still the same audio file.
