Barska
Hi folks, My first post here. I'm working on a project that has been recorded as 4-channel .wav. I'm trying to do the basic dialog edit back at home which means I need to work all the files as mono channels. When trying to import the files to logic media manager it only shows me one surround file and when dragged to arrange window it's still just one file with surround output... Kind of awkward considering I'm on stereo setup and all the channels inside the files are actually discrete sources (boom and 3 lavaliers...). So if somebody could tell me how to import these files as 4 mono sources it would be great... I'm on Logic 9...
Jordi Torres
If you have Soundtrack Pro, you could work on them as discreet mono files by option-dragging the file into a STP multi-track project. If you prefer working in Logic, you're going to need a separate program to split the quad file. It's possible to do in Quicktime...but I prefer Sample Manager or Wave Editor, it's extremely easy with both of them. J.
