Yannis
Hi mates, how can I sync "sequenced" sounds from JD800 (or JD990) and Wavestation EX with Logic ? It's very easy with soft synths, but what about hardware ? Thanx, Yannis
Jordi Torres
Most likely via MIDI Clock. J.

Jordi Torres
Well, it looks like the JD800 does not send or receive MIDI Clock. The JD990 receives, which is what you'd need. If you have the manual, look for MIDI Clock, External Sync or something similar. In Logic you need to go to Settings>MIDI>Synchronization>MIDI Clock and choose a destination (the JD990, or the port in your MIDI interface from which the JD990 is receiving MIDI)....set it to "All" if you intend to send MIDI Clock to multiple devices. Jordi Torres
Thanx J for your immediate replies You're welcome....by the way I just noticed you also wanted to sync the Wavestation EX. Its wave sequences can also be synced to an external clock source. You set that up in the Global page. J.

Jordi Torres
Nothing happened wit jd 990. i will inform you when i find a solution OK, I've found that external Clock messages can only be used to synchonize the delay effect's delay time to an external source. Nothing else, unfortunately. (Page 82 in JD990's manual) J.
