NoEgo
Hi, I am relatively new to Logic. From Cubase. I have a question, and this didn't seem to be an issue until I used the SSL Matrix as a controller. It emulates the Mackie HUI. I don't know how this happened but I lost the actual midi notes of a drum track region and the remaining track played. I noticed that the Record button on the track in the inspector was outlined red but not full on. I am wondering if this activated recording when the track was played. Yet the midi was set to sound on sound not delete older takes. Where does this setting live in Logic that outlines the record button in the inspector? Or track functions. Thanks. David Nahmani
The only way I can think of to "lose notes" is to manually delete them. None of the recording settings are destructive. Here's an explanation on the "faded R button": http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/index.html#chapter=14%26section=24%26tasks=true
NoEgo
Hey thanks for the rapid reply. So the two aren't related. I guess it was just a coincidence but I never went near the notes. I edited their velocities and saved my work and then the next day they were gone. I must have click happied my way into the problem. Appreciate your help. NoEgo
One more if I may. Why do the bottoms of the mixer have color bands? They also appear next to the Inspector vertically on the beginning of the track. I can get a screen shot going but its on another computer. I colored the tracks is it possible also to colour band for a group of tracks? Thanks
David Nahmani
They indicate the current fader bank controlled by your controller.
