urbanmuzak
Hi, Running Logic 9.1.3, I also have a DSI Tetra connected to it. Now the strange part is that when turn the Volume knob on the Tetra it lowers/raises the volume fader on a selected track in Logic, not even it's own. What am I doing wrong? I've tried setting tetra to using some odd Midi channel like 16, but this behaviour still happens. In the window which shows all the assignments, I have nothing that has to do with Volume of a selected track and a CC. It's all very confusing. Jordi Torres
Try setting the Global "MIDI Parameter Send" to "Off" on the Tetra. J.
urbanmuzak
hmm... the idea I had was that I'd like to be able to record whatever adjustments I do with the Tetra... i.e. real time messing about with the filter, etc, using the knobs on the Tetra. But I don't want Logic to receive this data outside of the channel dedicated to Tetra... Is this possible to achieve? I'm not much of an Environment wizard, can just about get by with, but don't like spending too much time in there...
Jordi Torres
First thing to keep in mind is that Logic hijacks CC7 and 10 (Volume and Pan) to control those parameters in its channel strips. So recording the adjustments you make on the Tetra's volume knob (since apparently it sends and responds to CC7 as well ) will require some environment processing (a transformer)...unless there's something else you can do to work around this in the Tetra itself.
