gbera
Hi, I just bought a new MacBook Pro (MAC OS X 10.6.7, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB memory, 15" screen, no additional hardware at this time) and am installing Logic Pro version 9.1.1. I inserted the Logic Studio Install DVD and followed the directions up to the actual install portion. However, I made the mistake of not remaining at the computer during this time, and I did not see whether or not it prompted me to insert the additional content CD's. Once Logic had finished installing, I inserted the first Additional Content CD only to find that it contained a single message telling me to insert the Logic Installation DVD. I tried reinserting the Logic Installation DVD to see if it would skip over what it had already installed and go straight to the additional content CD's, but it did not. At this point, do I need to uninstall Logic in order to be able to add the additional content, or is there a way to add it without reinstalling Logic? Thank you for taking the time to address my question. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Eriksimon
Why are you so you sure that anything actually got installed? "I inserted the Logic Studio Install DVD and followed the directions up to the actual install portion." So how did you deviate from the instructions here? Or what did you do next? I am missing a few steps in your description... did you customise your install & hit OK, and did you actually see a progress bar? "However, I made the mistake of not remaining at the computer during this time." As far as I know, the "please insert the disk" alert will not dismiss itself... so it likely never appeared, so you probably missed something or overlooked something... Anyway, just try again. Can do no harm.
