Logic keeps adding a controller each time I launch

In Logic 9 I configured an external controller in Logic/Preferences/Control Surfaces/Setup, I placed the bundle file into Logic's 'midi device plug-ins' folder but each time I launch Logic it adds another controller (the same device) icon on the control surface setup page. Does anyone else have a similar problem or know what Logic may be 'seeing' to make it think it needs to add another controller?

Try this;

 

Go to Preferences > Control Surfaces Setup...

 

Uncheck "Automatic Installation" in the "New" menu.
