Play Instruments only showing up as 32 bit in 64 Bit Logic?

I now have all my instruments properly installed on my glyph drive and streaming properly into my logic session. :) So the next step is using logic in 64-bit mode for the performance benefits. So I clicked Get info on the logic icon and unchecked the "open in 32 bit mode" box and proceeded to launch logic in 64 bit mode for the first time. I noticed that upon opening it scanned all of Logic's included plug-ins as well as the 3rd party plugs that I own. Now I notice that the drop down in my channelstrip on software tracks now has AU Generators, AU Instruments and then also both those with * (32-bit) next to it. I notice that Omnisphere is found in both AU Instruments and AU instruments(32-bit) but my Play libraries are only displaying under AU Instruments(32-bit). I've heard mention of 32-bit bridges on this forum is that what these are? Is there a reason why Play isn't being recognized as a 64 bit plug in my logic session?

Hi Staleyolk,

The reason Play isn't showing up as a 64 bit plug-in is that EastWest has yet to release a version of Play that is 64 bit. I know a lot of people -- including me -- are really chomping at the bit for them to release a 64 bit version. They've been super slow getting it done.

Here's the latest word on it. The current version of Play (Play 2.x) will remain 32 bit only. But the next version of Play (Play 3) will be 64 bit. It's currently in beta testing mode. The rumor is that once they complete the first round of beta testing, they'll release a public beta.

Word from EastWest is that Play 3 will be free.
