tdunbar
Hey everyone, new here! Quick background, I've used Cakewalk for ten years. I just majorly upgraded my studio. Am now running an iMac quad-core, using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, with Macke MR8mk2's. I play keys, drums, and a little guitar. (I fake it well) Lately have been having fun on bass as well. On to the question... I use a PODxt hooked up to my computer via usb. I use USB to record audio as well. Off my PODxt is a CAT5 cable for my foot controller for the PODxt. Everytime I want to use the volume pedal it incidentally controls all the audio sliders on the mixer in Logic. I do not want this to happen. I looked in the prefs of control surfaces and I don't have anything setup there. I even tried checking off the "bypass all control surfaces" and it didn't do the trick. I'd still like to be able to use my volume pedal with the guitar, but have it control any sliders in Logic. Any ideas?
Jordi Torres
Looks like the pedal is sending MIDI controller 7 (volume) data. Logic's channel strip fader's respond to that CC by "nature" (for lack of a better word at this time). Quick fix: Settings>MIDI>Input Filter. Check the Control Changes box. J. redlogic
By Gods' will, since their birth, Logic's channel strip faders have had a habit of responding to that CC genetically by design. It has always been thus.
