Why does Logic jump to another area when I hit record ?

This is starting to drive me insane. Sometimes if I'm in the middle of a song and I hit "record," Logic will jump to a totally different area...usually the beginning of the song. This happens like 4 out of 10 times I hit record...but I can't seem to find the reason for it.

Funny, I JUST experienced this with playback on a project: default play modes, no cycle, no marquee selection, and yet every time I pressed play the playhead would jump 2 beats earlier and start playback. Even with the playhead on 1 1 1 1, pressing play would start playback on 0 3 1 1. Restarted Logic, and the odd behavior was gone. Does it go away when you restart Logic?

Yup, no cycle and no marquee selection for me as well. You're lucky yours only jumped 2 beats earlier. Mine would jump all the way back to an earlier part of the song. What's crazy is, even if I have the cycle mode on, it'll STILL jump back to some other area. It's extremely distracting during recording.

I haven't noticed whether restarting logic helped or not. I just noticed that once it starts doing it, it'll be quite frequent and on and off after the first time. But I've just started working in logic the past 1.5 hours and it didn't happen yet. So perhaps a restart kills it temporarily.

This happens both in 32/64 bit.
