kampana
hi, i just recently started utilizing the Folders packing feature and trying to figure out how it works. one thing i'm wondering about: i've created a number of folders containing different tracks each. they all have unique names and are not grouped or anything like that. when i view the mixer window, all these folder tracks appear linked/grouped with a green rectangle around them. if i attempt to change a folder track name from the mixer, it assigns that name to all folder tracks in my project. why is that? David Nahmani
Because there's only ONE folder "channel strip" in Logic, and when naming it in the Mixer you're really naming the channel strip, not the tracks. If you want to be able to select them individually in the Mixer you'll need to choose View > All Tracks with Same Channel Strip/Instrument. To help you understand the difference between track name and channel strip name, I suggest you control-click your track header, choose "Configure Track Headers" and set the name menus as on the following pic, then try renaming the different names on the track headers and in the Mixer...
