Papa Andy
Hey guys, I've been looking all over the internet for a tutorial on how to make the sound used in songs like I Can't Stop by Flux Pavilion... unfortunately to no avail. If you're not sure what sound I'm talking about it's the sound 35 seconds into this video: Any advice would be great!
Andyreww
The wobble in DUbStep Basslines comes from modulating filter cutoff via LFO's. There are several techniques that build on this e.g modulating cutoff via LFO 1, then modulating pitch via LFO 2 in Logic's ES2. So, to make a bassline without the wobble all you need to do is not modulate anything. There's a lot of tut's out there that show how to make a wobble bassline - All you need to do is follow them up to the point where modulation is added. ceeyo
you could also try downloading a flux 'style' patch for whichever synth you are using (es2 / massive), add a few effects then resample to get your own sound that doesnt sound like an off the shelf copy?
