lowski
Hi. When I save a project do I need to also save my EXS instruments?. every time I save and close a project I get a pop-up asking "save changes to EXS Instrument". I don't want a bunch of instruments saved because I usually just mess around with tons of different ideas, but I do want the EXS instruments to be the same way I left them when I return. In the project 'save as' I have checked "save EXS instruments to project folder" and "save EXS instrument samples to project folder".
camillo jr
That pop up shouldn't come up if you're only making changes to the front panel of the EXS but if you've opened the editor then it will, even if you haven't actually done anything in the editor. If you just click on one thing in the editor, Logic assumes that you've done some editing and will ask that question. But if you're only making front panel changes to the EXS, those will be saved with the song and no need to save them in any other format. BTW, it's probably not necessary to "save EXS instrument samples to project folder". Those samples are going to stay in the same place from project to project. You could make a case for maybe saving the instrument, especial if you're experimenting over the course of a project and want an easy way to get back to some EXS instruments that you've tweaked for the project. lowski
Thanks. I convert REX2 files into the EXS. That's what I most use the EXS for. So I guess I need to 'save instrument'. Seems like a bit of a hassle having to name and store all of these patches. Is there any other sampler that I can use to load REX2 files and add the midi to track?
