sunbird
I'm having problems loading my projects onto a second computer (laptop) I'm running Logic 9 on a Mac Pro in my studio and Macbook Pro elsewhere When I go to load a project on my laptop, dialogue boxes pop up asking which particular sample or audio track to load. In the dialogue box I see many instances of the same sample or audio track. With a session full of orchestral audio instruments it gets quite time consuming to launch a project. Maybe I've got something not set in prefs - any ideas for a smoother load? Chris
Jordi Torres
Did you ever move Logic's samples to an alternate location (an external drive, for example)? You should re-index spotlight on your Macbook Pro. J.
sunbird
Thanks Jordito On my MBP I have EXS 'samples' and 'sampler instr' folders as 'alias' pointing to a firewire drive. In fact it's the EXS samples that never load automatically. I guess I should load EXS files onto MBP The Kontakt stuff I have (LASS, Alicia etc) load up fine from 'shared' folder on MBP C
Jordi Torres
Hi, I wasn't implying that having your exs samples in an external is a "bad" thing to do, it's just that since the EXS relies on spotlight to locate the samples and you have more than one drive whose spotlight index contains references to the samples, then you'll get that dialog asking you to pick one...even if you no longer have the actual samples in one of those locations. That's why you should reindex spotlight so that the info is updated. J.
