sjnromw
I am trying to do a fade out on all tracks at the end of a song but the inspector only allows a small amount of fade regardless of the fade value. I've also tried directly entering values (as opposed to dragging it up) and still it does the same thing. Hopefully this picture will illustrate my problem. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v340/sjnromw/Screenshot2011-05-18at40641PM.png Another thing that has been giving me trouble is if I try to enter the value with my number pad, or press the 'enter' key on the number pad instead of the one above shift (or clicking somewhere else) to finalize my fade value, my mouse bugs out and I am unable to click on anything regardless of application. Only when I relaunch finder am I able to click again.
buzwah
Why not put the fade on the Master Channel strip. Just right click the Channel in the Mixer window and add it to the Arrange window. This will create a track in the Arrange window where you can just draw in the fade as Automation.

Does the value drag and then reset itself? Does the value simply not change? What if you drag down? What happens when you try to enter a value and press Return? What values are accepted, what values are rejected? What happens when they're rejected?

Thank you for your fast reply, it turns out that the minimum fade 'zoom' was not letting me see the tiny changes that were happening to the fade as I drastically underestimated the scale of the fade values. It seems to be working fine now, whether or not I enter it with my number pad or qwerty numbers. Last night when I originally ran into the problem, whenever I tried to set the fade value with the numbers on the number pad the input box would disappear and everything would become unresponsive to my mouse. I could still use keyboard shortcuts (Command + S) but I wasn't able to click on anything until I relaunched finder. This leads me to believe that the root of my problem was a finder bug (along with my ignorance) and not Logic. After I turned my computer off last night the unresponsive mouse problem has gone away. Everything is working fine now, although I may reinstall OS X on my hard drive because this is not the first Finder error I have had recently. Sorry about the confusion and thanks again for your super fast response.

As I'm on a deadline I was about to set the output of all my tracks to a new auxiliary track and use automation.
