NorthArchRising
Hey guys i'm a little befuzzled by the project templates acting differently depending on where they're activated. if i hit cmdN i get my list of templates which i can open and i'm prompted with the arrange and a window asking where i wish to save audio files etc which is great and as you'd expect, however I'm a sucker for saving time on things and thus i decided to start using the templates (found in the application support folder under logic/projecttemplates) in the right hand side of the Dock as shortcuts so whenever i start up my imac i can one click on the type of project i'm going to start and it should systematically open up logic for the first time too so should save time. Problem is whenever i click the shortcut in the Dock it opens the template but no window prompts me to tell it where to save the files for this new project. when i do click an audio track to enable record i get a prompt but for where to save core audio folder. anyone know a work around or am i just hoping for something thats not possible at the moment? chris
Scott Jackson
Problem is whenever i click the shortcut in the Dock it opens the template but no window prompts me to tell it where to save the files for this new project. That's because you are opening (and then working on) the Templates directly. When you use Command+N and select a Template you are telling Logic to create a New Project based on the chosen Template.
