Triga
Hey Guys just keen to here what other people do once they have finished mixing down a track ! Once im happy with the way things sound, done all my automation i then put a multipressor & limiter on out 1-2 just too boost the overall mix (i find this sounds good but really squares of the waveform). Does anyone do anything else or have any suggestions or plug-ins they use to semi master a tune ?
Kabler1
I would just bring it to a "real" mastering engineer, once I'm done with an album or CD or what ever. Personally I think you can destroy a lot if you don't really know and hear (I don't know what kind of monitors you got) what you are doing on your main out. But what do you mean by "sqaures up the waveform"?
David Nahmani
I would just bring it to a "real" mastering engineer While I agree with Kabler1, sometimes there's no budget for a "real" mastering engineer, so you have to play one on TV. This should get you started: Poor man's mastering question If you want to go further: Search for "Mastering" on LogicProHelp.com.
