jtees
Hi all Some time ago I remember step by step instructions posted on these forums on how to humanise the position of (audio) regions in the arrange page. I'm struggling to find this post via the search function. If someone could post a link to that particular post or provide instructions on how to do this I'd be very grateful. I'm pretty sure it involves the event list, but all the transform functions are greyed out when I try to select them. Thanks Guys/Girls
jtees
Come to think of it, that post I was thinking about was on how to quantize audio regions in the arrange page not randomize. Is it possible to randomize/humanize audio region positions? I know I could convert the regions to sampler intrument and humanize the midi locations, but I'd rather not do it that way, as there are quiet a lot of channel strips I need to process. jtees
bump... does anyone know if this is possible?
David Nahmani
I don't think it's possible - what are you trying to do though? Maybe there's another way to do whatever it is you're trying to do?
jtees
I programed a drum loop using one shot samples in Logics arrange, using logics grid to sequence the pattern. Each channel strip for each sample. As the regions were snapped to the grid I'd now like to loosen up the feel of the drum pattern. Usually I program my drums via midi therefor use the tranform window to perform this function. (Normally tweek the humanize preset). I guess my best bet is to convert to sampler instrument for each channel strip then "humanize" the midi notes.
David Nahmani
I guess my best bet is to convert to sampler instrument for each channel strip then "humanize" the midi notes. That's one option. You probably don't need multiple instrument channel strips though. Just create a single sampler instrument, make it multiple outputs so you can process each individual sound on its own Aux channel strip.
