zosoaudo007
Is there an option to have the playhead jump to a location by clicking on the background of the arrange page? This is driving me nuts. I know I can play from the Marquee position, but that can be a little finnicky (specifically when I select a new region). Thx
David Nahmani
You can locate the playhead by clicking the lower 1/2 of the bar ruler - I know it's not exactly what you're asking but just in case you didn't know.

Thx David. I did already know that. Its an ok workaround, but requires too much precision IMO. I use Cubase at work and it actually has an option for this behavior. Hoping Logic did too...... Any other ideas?
guitar486
If I understand your frustration correctly, and forgive me if I don't, I know what you should do. I had this same issue as I am a long-time Pro Tools user and am just getting started in Logic now, and the playhead functionality in Logic is very different by default. You can change this though! To make Logic's playhead function like Pro Tools open up the key commands menu (opt+k) and search for "Play or Stop and Go to Last Locate Position." You can assign this to something new or replace it with spacebar. Now, you could use the bar rule OR the marquee tool to denote where you want to start playback and hitting the key command again will snap the playhead back to the same spot, even after selecting regions, etc. Hope this helps
