MaxVermette
Could someone confirm that the 32 bit audio unit bridge quits unexpectedly when it uses more than 4GB, as would be the 32bit limit? Wouldn't it make more sense if the 32 bit bridge was a 64bit application running multiple 32 bit processes (plugins)?
redlogic
It'll quit without using more than 4 GB. It's a flakey kludge to hold us until all the plug developers FINALLY go 64 bit.

EdgarRothermich
This is not something that happens only to the 32bit bridge. Running Logic in 32bit mode always crashed when exceeding that 4GB limit. That's why we moved to 64bit. Unfortunately some plugin dev still dragging their feet and haven't updated their products yet (Arturia, BFD, Ivory, ...) ruari
I really don't like the 32 bit bridge, I was trying to use Rocket & Transient Monster through it the other day & any time I touched either of them Logic crashed. It got so frustrating I ended up opening Logic in 32 bit just to avoid having to use the 32 bit bridge
rone2him
Still awaiting Flux:: plugins for OSX to be release in 64 bits, their "Windows" stuff has already been done for some time... getting frustrated at no OSX release, as Flux:: plugins are my only 32 bit plugin left especially considering that only one plugin can be opened at a time! A 64 bit architecture is one of the main reason I bought a new iMac i7... that's my moan! Since Flux had already released a Windows version, I thought an OSX version would follow quickly, doesn't seem to be the case, and in some ways I wish I would have waited to buy the Flux:: plugins I...got so frustrating I ended up opening Logic in 32 bit just to avoid having to use the 32 bit bridge Been there, done that! MaxVermette
If the 32 bit audio unit bridge can't address more than 4GB, given that I'm running Logic in 64bit mode, why can't I run multiple 32 bit bridges ? That way I could use my whole 24 GB of RAM. Seems relatively simple and that way we could have multiple plugin windows opened at the same time! Because Apple and rightfully so doesn't want you to use the 32-bit bridge. They want developers to re-write their code. Its the right thing to do but unfortunately it results in an awkward transition period.
