Broskin
Before purchasing my MOTU traveler, I was using an Mbox and running my MicroKORG through it. Worked fine, used it for MIDI and recorded it's internal sounds by using External MIDI. But when using the MOTU, Logic is unable to recognize any MIDI coming from the KORG and I am unable to hear it's internal sounds as well. It recognizes MIDI when I use my Trigger Finger, and I am able to hear software instruments coming from the output of my MOTU and into my monitors. The MOTU does not show up in the library like the Mbox did. I tested the interface on another DAW and it worked fine, was able to read the KORG's MIDI and was able to record it's internal sounds. This has been frustrating me for a while and I've tried everything I can think of. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME!?
Jordi Torres
How are things looking in the Audio MIDI Setup utility (Applications/Utilities/)? You should see an icon for the Traveler in the MIDI Devices tab (or window if running Snow Leopard). Is the icon dimmed? J.
Broskin
The Icon does not appear, when using my Mbox it did appear. Under preferences; core audio, the MOTU appears and I set the input and output for it. But under I/O assignments, it only let's me setup surround for the input. Is this unusual? Jordi Torres
The Icon does not appear Try re-installing the MOTU software? Under preferences; core audio, the MOTU appears and I set the input and output for it. That should be enough to get audio in and out of Logic. J.
