Jan Steele
What is the rationale behind ticking or not ticking the checkbox "Copy EXS instruments to project folder" and for the "Copy Ultrabeat samples to project folder" and "Copy Space Designer Impulse reponses to project folder" checkboxes? Rundfunk
If you create your own ultrabeat kit using your own samples, or if you create your own EXS24 instrument using your own samples this option insures that if you copy your project folder to another hard drive / pen drive etc for use somewhere else that when you open the project it will be able to locate your custom instruments. Usually the instruments you create and the samples are stored elsewhere on your computer and logic has to find them upon opening your project. Ticking these boxes is a good idea if your moving you work around from one studio to the next. Also, if your saving your projects to an external hard drive (or another internal drive JUST for projects) it will load the samples off there instead of loading them from which ever drive the samples were originally located. Audiogrocery
What is the rationale behind ticking or not ticking the checkbox When thick that, then the all stuff you are talking about inc EXS instrument + samples, UB, etc you use in that Project (if any) will be copied to the project folder. This is useful if you want to make a Backup of your project, move to another computer etc, where it is expected that some of this stuff does not exist.
