Jan Steele
If I go to the Load Sample funtion of Osc 2 in Ultrabeat, there are two types of files .ubs and .aif. I wondered what the difference is between them. Are .ubs files another type of audio file just for use in Ultrabeat?
David Nahmani
.aif are "normal" audio files. .ubs are multisamples with velocity layers. Meaning a kick.ubs could for example contain 5 different kick samples (one soft, one louder, etc...) to be triggered at different velocities. You cannot make your own .ubs files but you can make your own .exs files with the EXS24, and Ultrabeat can read .exs files.

I haven't seen anything in the manual about this.
