M.DraQla
Everytime I start logic it seems I have to reinstall my axiom 49 under the control surface preferences. Sometimes it will stay installed but I still have to go back in and select it. Is there a certain procedure for making sure it saves the preferences? Are they project specific or should the control surface work universally(in all projects). I properly save and quit logic everytime I finish in it(unless it crashes). David Nahmani
Preferences are global and work on every project. New preference changes are saved upon quitting Logic. Maybe that pref file got corrupted. You could try this: 1) Quit Logic. 2) Trash ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs 3) Open Logic. 4) Reinstall the Axiom 49 in Logic's preferences. 5) Quit Logic. Then reopen Logic and see if it stuck this time?
M.DraQla
I'm at work now but I'll definitely try that when I get home and let you know if it works. It's been like this for months now and while it's simple to reinstall it, it's annoying having to do it every single time. edit: I noticed it shows up as a C# document in Finder. Could this be a problem or is that only how finder sees it because it has a .cs extension?
David Nahmani
I noticed it shows up as a C# document in Finder. Could this be a problem or is that only how finder sees it because it has a .cs extension? Are you a developer? Do you use C# tools? Maybe that's the reason it shows up that way on your system, because of the .cs extension. On mine it shows up as a blank document. I believe the .cs extension in this case just means "Control Surface". PS: You should definitely not have to do this every single time you open Logic. I certainly don't (I use an Axiom Pro 61). Jordi Torres
edit: I noticed it shows up as a C# document in Finder. Could this be a problem or is that only how finder sees it because it has a .cs extension? I wouldn't worry about it. I've noticed that file adopting different personas over the years here. Currently the finder sees it as a Sound Designer II file that opens by default with Wave Editor. J.

I had that trouble in LP8 and the CS was getting changed into an EXE. files or other goofy things during the crash and burn ordeal.
