dave999z
Hello. If you have two MIDI regions, one placed right on top of the other (so when you play back your arrangement, you hear notes from both midi regions through that software instrument), is there an easy way to flatten (for lack of better word) them into one region? These are not separate takes inside a take folder -- they're separate regions. I know I can copy the notes from one region, then open the second region, line up the play head, and paste the notes into the second region, but I'm wondering if there's an easier way. Thanks. I did RTFM and search here but couldn't find an answer to this exact question.

In the Arrange select both (or all) regions you want to merge and then select Region>Merge>Regions
George_Moore_
the glue tool also does the same thing... easiest was to get it is press "esc"on your keypad in the arrange and then press "6" on your keypad
dave999z
thanks. i knew that worked with adjacent midi regions. but i couldn't get it to work when two midi regions of the exact same length are sitting one right on top of the other. my problem was i just could not select both of them at once (to then apply the merge command). the trick was using the marquee tool to select them. You don't need the Marquee tool. With the pointer tool, just Click/Hold and drag over the regions from a blank part of the track to select them.
