Hey, first post here. I did a search before i came aboard and still couldnt find an answer.

Heres some details

1. this used to work, flawlessly.

2. mac mini (POS) with 2 gigs of ram

3. Logic 9

4. Korg Kronos as interface

so heres what i used to do.

press record, being able to hear all other tracks plus click, and then play my kronos and then have one track of just kronos....

suddenly- today... If i record, i get all other tracks, plus the click, in my new track, and its killing me not being able to solve this issue

I understand that its a routing issue... i dont know what got changes or anything.. but if anyone could help me and point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

Please refrain from giving me a noob reply like JUST CLICK ON "CLICK WHILE PLAYING" or WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ITS FEEDING INTO YOUR KRONOS AND RECORDING ITS OUTPUT

im aware of this, however this seriously used to work with no complication. if you need to ask me anything please feel free.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Any audio programs you installed before this started to happen that can mess things up? Thinking out loud here because it's a weird issue.

The other thing is why do you have the track Solo-Safe'd?

Create another audio track in the Environment, assign it to track 255 and call it Prelisten (all Logic templates have it and it's good to have it on your own). Otherwise when you start soloing things, that track will always play. Unless of course that's what you want so you can ignore I brought it up.

I have not installed anything recently. Honestly today i just fired up logic and its acting like a jackass! I had to like.. unmerge tracks, cause it was only using input 1, when it should be using 1-2... its just been dumb. i think its changed some stuff by itself.

I also uploaded a midi file from guitar pro.. that might be the culprit too.

No tracks are solo safed... i dont even know how it got that way!

thanks for the help so far everyone!

Are you saying that now when you record enable an audio track you are seeing/hearing the other tracks playing through that channel? This is what I've understood from your post.

No, basically, if i record the track that has my kronos (the last track in the picture) it will also record the metronome and all solo'd tracks with it. basically lets put it this way, simply, If i press record, it will be equivelant as if i bounced the whole project, except with the metronome too...

What happens if you import all you've done into a new Project? Sometimes a song get get corrupted and it's easier to just start a fresh Project. If the same thing is happening if you try that then it need further investigation.

i just opened upa fresh project. I am getting the same issue.

to be clear, i have not imported anything. just testing it using the mtronome.. if i click record.. it records the met...

So how do you listen to the output of the Kronos? Headphones?

Because if you're recording the output of the Kronos into Logic and the Kronos is the interface, then everything the Kronos receives from Logic will go into your recorded track.

I don't understand that part.

monitors connected to the L/R of the K

This used to work.... just sayin...

All right, I'm trying to understand the routing here.

L and R to monitors.

What goes to Input 1-2 in Logic? If it's L and R then you're recording what you hear in the monitors.

There must be something in that setup page that can separate the routing.

PS: Just looking at the picture. Why are the inputs 1 and 2 in the Kronos set to Off?
