muscmp
i've lost the creamy male vocal from the voices setting. all of the others are there but i use this one the most. any suggestions how to re-establish it? thanks,
Eriksimon
Open any old project in which you have used it, go the right Channel Strip, clickhold it's name box (topmost box) and choose Save Channel Strip Setting as... and call it Favevocal or something... I don't quite understand how you could loose a channel strip setting though...
peeb
Losing a Channel Strip is dangerously easy. If you want to clear a Channel Strip and you mistakenly select Delete Channel Strip instead of Clear Channel Strip, it's gone. Pretty simple and understandable mistake to make
Eriksimon
Ah, OK, thanks, I didn't know that option was there, I rarely use channel strip settings. Could not see any "Clear channel strip" command though.
peeb
Sorry Eric. I think i meant "Reset"? But "Delete" is definitely there!

muscmp
i was able to save it, under an older project, with a new name. then i went back to the previous project and was able to call up the channel setting with a new name. it must reside in a user area as i don't see it under voices but at least i'm able to use it. thank you eriksimon!!!!!!!!! Eriksimon
You're welcome. Oh, and you can move the "new" channel strip to your Voices folder in the Finder, it'll work just fine.
muscmp
so, if i can find it under user settings, i can just copy or move it to the regular voices folder? thanks again!! mikeB.
