Subjection Music
Hello World! I have a major problem i have to figure out how to fix. first off, I am producing electronic music with my 2007 MacBookPro. I Bought a Mac Pro, and i used migration assistant to move my files to my new computer. When i booted logic the first time, i got a no driver error. so i reinstalled, changed my preferences and it worked just fine. The one MAJOR thing is that I use Native Instruments Massive for my productions, and when I tried to open one of my files, all of my sounds were put back to the default sound. all the files work fine on my MacBook Pro, but the weird thing, is that when i acces my laptop over FireWire, the same thing happens, All of my sounds are reverted to Default Sound In Massive. This is a MAJOR Problem for me because i have 30-40 Instrument Tracks With Massive each project, and I Have Over 50 Projects. ANY Help is appreciated Thanks, Subjection Music
fisherking
you might want to torture NI for help... make sure your massive files are in the same places on your new mac (i see them EVERYWHERE; App folder, App support, SHARED folder in users! or check the manual, make sure the plugin SEES the sound banks... I didn't save my patches, they were loaded up every time i opened my project. i have a feeling the sounds are stored somewhere i didn't save? fisherking
native instruments is ridiculous; i mean, i have some custom sound sets, so maybe my setup will be different that yours but here's where i found content, so...if you have any of these folders, copy them from your old mac to the new one... Applications>Native Instruments HD>Library>Audio>Presets>Native Instruments>Massive HD>Library>Application Support>Native Instruments Home Folder>Documents>Native Instruments Home Folder>Library>Audio>Presets>Native Instruments>Massive (empty folder) Home Folder>Application Support>Native Instruments>Massive Users>Shared>various sound folder insane, really... Subjection Music
It Still isn't working, i'm getting the default sawtooth waves, EVEN when i go into my laptop, which i know works, and open a file on my new computer. i don't see why it is not working, unless there is some crazy file path i need to find. i will talk about this on native instruments, but if ANYONE is reading this, PLEASE post your thoughts. (you should at least have "Massive Factory"). otherwise, contact NI support!
