Logic Pro will now test 750 installed Audio Unit plug-ins. .

Logic is fairly frequently testing all plugins at launch. This takes a bit of time to run through.

Can I disable this process?

Here's the message at start..

Logic Pro will now test 750 installed Audio Unit plug-ins to maximize system stability. This AU validation can take some time. Subsequent launches of Logic Pro do not require that test and will be much faster.

Thanks in Advance-

Lion? Any chance using automap?

In any case, you can drag all your au untis to a temp folder and bring them back in groups and see if you can narrow down the problem. Also if you are running in 64 bit mode, tick run in 32 bit mode and let it finish a scan there, then put back in 64 bit mode and try again.

Hey Guys- Great stuff. Thank you-

Logic 9.1.5 (32 bit)

OSX 10.6.8

- no automap

Repaired my permissions yesterday, and think I ran logic after and it ran the plugins test.

Seems this could be it.

Will test new User next.

Yes, It seems I use to get the plugin of the week.. but now more into samples.. which has been a lot more challenging on disk space. 15TB LaCie NAS on the way to finally take care of that front..

The Waves bundle is alot of them, some demos, all the above!
