djmatsa
Hi guys, I can't seem to use Kontakt 4 in Logic 9, Default MIDI Setting for kontakt as shown in the picture below, no longer work. I don't hear sound coming from kontakt anymore even though I play keys on my MIDI keyboard. http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/7429/picture1ia.png Default settings of Kontakt work fine in Ableton Live 8. I manually have to change "MIDI ch" to omni as shown below. Then it works in Logic. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/8186/picture2khv.png I have to do it for every patch I load. Any help? ski
Check your Kontakt settings, as I believe you can change the default MIDI channel setting for new instances of plugins (which should be OMNI for Logic).
Jordi Torres
Looks like your MIDI keyboard is sending data on a channel other than 1. If you set it to send on channel 1 it will work with kontakt's default setting. Ski, there are no MIDI settings in the plug-in version of Kontakt 4. Regards, J. djmatsa
Thanks Ski. But, Im not sure if I can load multis in Omni mode. Ski, there are no MIDI settings in the plug-in version of Kontakt 4. You can change settings in plugin version as well, Options/Handling tab. If you set it to send on channel 1 it will work with kontakt's default setting. How do I do that, can you please explain?
Jordi Torres
You can change settings in plugin version as well, Options/Handling tab. That's right! I didn't see it when I checked If you set it to send on channel 1 it will work with kontakt's default setting. How do I do that, can you please explain? You need to do that in your MIDI keyboard... What MIDI channel do you see in the transport's MIDI activity display when you play some notes? J.
