David Nahmani
space bar brings me back to start... It shouldn't. Do you have a cycle enabled? If yes, you can disable it. Or you could click-hold the play button in your transport bar and deselect "Play cycle". Or you could use the pause key command: • Command-Enter (initialized preferences) • Option-Return (U.S. preset)
buzwah
My command for Pause is the Period key in the numeric section between 0 and Enter.
David Nahmani
My command for Pause is the Period key in the numeric section between 0 and Enter. Then you must be using the "U.S. with Numeric Keypad" preset.
buzwah
I only mention it because Option-Return for me as a default plays from the beginning. Yes I am using the US preset.

You are using the U.S. with Numeric keypad preset - otherwise in the U.S. preset the key command is Option-Return.

David Nahmani
Aaahh... down under ... the other end of the world... I still have about $30AUS in cash in my drawer here, that an Australian fan sent me a looong time ago to buy a T-Shirt from my band. I never took it to the bank, I figured... maybe I'll visit Australia one day?

David Nahmani
yet both cmd-enter and option-rtrn did nothing for me, hmmm I listed the respective key command presets those assignments belong to. Do you know what key command preset you're using? You can open your key command window to find out. Or, in that window, search for "pause" and see what it's assigned to, or assign it to whatever you wish.
alexfsu
I'm using "U.S."....the key command for pause is a "^" with a line above it. What would that be please?

That's Enter, but that's not the default "U.S." key command, you must have made some changes to your key commands. You can choose Options > Presets > U.S. to reset your key commands to the factory "U.S." preset, where pause is Option-Return.
