Multitrack recorder that gets along well with logic?

Hi,

 

I need to record rehearsal sessions and gigs with my band and then export all audio to logic to add some more tracks, effects, mixing etc.

 

Unfortunately we are not able to record here at home with Logic because we don't have proper sound isolation for drums.

 

 

Do I need to buy a laptop again? because I move away from laptops because I want a home studio, not a portable studio. and those expensive MBP really gets damaged when is on the road with a musician.

 

So this is me n00b trying to work this out.

 

I was about to buy Tascam 2488 neo but I was told that don't play very well with Logic.

 

Any experience with multi tracks and logic anyone?
