fuzzball27
Hello all, I need help with some trouble I'm having with my audio interface. When I'm running logic the signal to my monitors is distorted. This has never happened to me before, and it only happens while logic is running. I have played iTunes songs through the AI (with logic closed) and all sounds smooth, but if I have logic open–still playing iTunes only–the signal is distorted. I have: A Macbook (last release) with 4G RAM running OSX 10.7.1 and Logic 9.1.5 (latest release) using a Lexicon Alpha USB interface
fuzzball27
An important not I forgot to mention: The audio is smooth when using the internal speakers in all cases.
redlogic
Do you have a "Lion friendly" driver for the Lexicon Alpha?
fuzzball27
I'm not sure how to tell? The only available drivers online are for Windows. I have been using lion for a few weeks now and I have had no problems with the AI before.
triplets
The Lexicon uses Core Audio, so no drivers are required. Did you try turning it off, disconnecting, reconnecting, turn back on? Distortion means it's not syncing correctly. Go to Audio Midi Setup in Applications/Utilities. Check that the clock is internal for the device. fuzzball27
I resolved the problem. It was the I/O buffer size.
