stikygum
Wondering if there is any way to sequence Windows VSTs within a Mac using Logic. Was wondering if there is a software version of something like V machine. Anyone have any idea of how this would work without a 2nd computer? David Nahmani
Wondering if there is any way to sequence Windows VSTs within a Mac No. Windows software does not run on a Mac, you need Mac software on a Mac. Was wondering if there is a software version of something like V machine. No. The reason V machine allows you to run Windows VSTs on a Mac is because V Machine is, in essence, a hardware Windows PC that you connect to your Mac. stikygum
That's too bad. I would think with VMware and some of the other programs, you could do it. Maybe running VMware and using a PC sequencer on a Mac. Then recording audio from Windows softies' sequences (under VMware still), and saving as a wav. file, would work. Wouldn't that allow you to use use what you did with the PC softies and use them in Logic?
David Nahmani
I have to say I'm not an expert at VMware, but my guess (and it's only a guess) is that it cannot pass data from one OS to the other? Therefore you'd need one audio interface for windows, one for mac, and you'd need to cable them together, deal with I/O buffers and latency etc...
