madehumble
Recently, I have gotten into engineering for myself. I'm gaining more knowledge by the day and finding new tools, that I love. Well the problem I am running into is on my Aux busses. Let me explain more, let's say I have a kick and a snare and I route them to a Aux strip(drum buss) for a little compression on the group. After I put a compressor, like say a 1176 plugin on that drum buss, for some reason the compressor does not work, no gain reduction, it only controls volume. What am I doing wrong? I put reverbs and delays on busses no poblem. Even on the 2buss my SSL buss compressor works great. Help please!
triplets
Move the threshold down so that the compressor can react. Compressors like the LA2A or LA3A, you increase the input, which is sort of a threshold.
fader8
Whose 1176 plug-in is it?
madehumble
I moved the threshold. I know how to work and use compressors, but this only happens on aux busses. It's the IK multimedia black 76', I also tried waves CLA, I think.
triplets
On 1176 comp types like the IK and Waves, you gotta move the input. Are you sending enough level to it from the bus?

I moved the input(threshold), but I may need to check the level on the buss, I know the fader was at 0.0, but when I get home this evening, I will check the level out. Thanks.
