3.0 USB to 2.0

Yes, a USB 3 port or hub will accept a USB 2 device connected to it.

 

However, the speed of delivery will only match USB 3 if the hardware port and device are both USB 3. I hope I'm making sense - It's late! There may be workarounds.

 

Assuming you're running a Mac (because you are running Logic and are on this forum) I don't know of any Macs that have native USB 3 ports.
