mxnskillz
Many times when I have a project running, no matter how many tracks I have setup, Logic seems to like to freeze when trying to change different patches with the ESX24 or any other built in Audio Unit. This only happens when I am switching sounds within the program to a new patch (sound or effect). Do I need to reinstall or clean out some temp files or something? n6smith
Are you doing this while the track is actually playing?
mxnskillz
No. It will freeze when changing AU's or picking a different sound from the AU. Doesnt matter if the track is playing or not. It will do it either way.Like it cant load the info. Everything is on a external firewire drive.
Doye
Place all Logic EXS sample etc on the system drive. That is the default installation.
mxnskillz
Should I just reinstall?
Doye
If it was me I would do a clean reinstall and let Logic put all files on the system drive. I would only record to an external firewire drive.
