Logic arpeggiator options

I'm not a big fan of the arpeggiator object in Logic's environment. I'm wondering what alternatives others are using?

I would want to be able to use it for external midi synths, more so than plug-in synths, which often have their own variety of arpeggiations to choose from.

Many versions of logic ago, someone posted a library of environment objects on one of the Logic forums, this included a variety of arpeggiators that were very flexible and customizable - they were created using transformers with the arp object if I remember correctly. Do any such downloads still exist for L9?

Just wondering.

I have read that SOS article, however I'm kind of looking for something with a wider variety of arps than are built into the Logic arp. I think the Electronic Music template has pretty much the same Arp as the SOS article pre-built into the template, and it didn't float my boat.

There was someone way back, who posted a link to a download and it had about 40 or so weird environment objects. It had random note generators, strange step sequencers and a variety of arpeggiators. This was years ago though, and I don't think it was posted on this forum, but it was a pro whom I could easily imagine is part of this forum community (as it's the best !).

If you were to take all the types of arps that have been included on real synths over the years, I can only think of a handful of variations, yet not even all of these are possible with the arp object built into Logic, unless you do some environment programming, which I don't want to do.

I'm looking at Sugar Bytes Thesis to see if that has a good list of arps to use.

I'll post back what I find.

Incidentally, the "Electronic" template in Logic has a very comprehensive arp -- it even has a floating interface for easily changing the arp's parameters quickly. Not sure if it's as comprehensive or flexible as you need, but it could be a good place to start. It's a bit intimidating to look at it in the Environment, but a good learning tool -- I've learned a lot from it. Hope this helps.
