bobbyjcruz
Help desperately needed! The dongle for my Logic Pro 7 program has stopped working. There isn't any obvious physical damage but, every time I try to open Logic, I get the message 'XSkey Not Found'. These dongles are no longer made and I totally can't afford to upgrade to Logic 9. Are there any replacement or repair options? Many thanks.
n6smith
Contact Apple and ask them what to do. They are normally very helpful in such situations...
bobbyjcruz
Thank you for your reply, Nigel. Apple haven't been able to help me much because the dongle is no longer being made. What I need is either to get my dongle repaired or find a second-hand one to replace it. Any ideas on this would be very much appreciated.

n6smith
That's odd. When a client of mine had a similar issue, Apple asked him to send his broken dongle to them and after about a week they provided him with a Logic 8 Serial that he could then use from now on instead of relying on the L7 dongle when upgrading/installing in the future. Maybe another call to them, explaining clearly the problem and asking them how you can resolve the matter.....
Doug Z
I've had that problem and been able to resolve it here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/XSKey_Updater

redlogic
How much are dongle repairs going for these days? I think it depends on the size of the dongle...
