musicguy7
I have a few 1 TB WD Caviar Black drives. I want to use 1 for logic projects/scratch disk and 1 for samples. But there's going to be lots of empty space on both, so I was thinking about partitioning both with a 500 gb space for "backing up" files. Just wondering if both are used aggressively as scratch disks, are my backup files on the backup partitions highly vulnerable to a disk failure? triplets
Forget partitions. They make the drive work harder. Use dedicated drives.
