KennaOkoye
Okay I just started recording midi with IAC from logic into PT, and have been saving the Logic session as well. That's alot of hard drive space. Is there away I can record the Logic Software Instrument sounds which is triggered by PT midi onto an AUDIO track into PRO TOOLS. thank you

fader8
Place your MIDI on an Instrument track in Logic. Load the desired instrument. Bounce. Drag the resulting file into Pro Tools.
CarlosUnderground
I think what he's asking is to record Logics audio into PT. Right?
David Nahmani
Basically the answer is to route the audio out of one computer into the other and record it as you would any audio source. So you'll need two audio interfaces, one on each machine. Those could be audio interface that only have multi-track digital connections such as ADAT connections - no need for D/A and A/D conversion. CarlosUnderground
Can it be done with IAC? Soundflower?
David Nahmani
Can it be done with IAC? Soundflower? IAC is a MIDI connection. SoundFlower can route audio from one DAW to another on the same computer (for free), but here I was assuming the OP was using DAWs on two different computers. David Nahmani
SOUNDflower. It's not the only method, but it certainly is the easiest and cheapest (free).
