alexfsu
I saw that you can automate pitch bend in the hyper editor for MIDI files, but no hyper editor for audio files exists. How would I automate the ptich bend for an audio file?
Solution David Nahmani Posted October 28, 2011 Solution Share Posted October 28, 2011 Audio files don't have pitch bend data like MIDI does. The Hyper Editor is a MIDI editor, therefore it can only be used to edit MIDI data. On an audio track, you could insert a Pitch shifting plug-in (AUPitch is a good one) and use track automation to automate it.

musaicsong
OR, slice the audio file at the desired transients and import the slices you want to pitch bend into EXS24. I'm going to check out the AUpitch now to see how well it does. Thanks David.
oxband
I have this exact question....7 years later. still the same answer? Are there any other plugins you recommend I look at?
David Nahmani
I have this exact question....7 years later. still the same answer? Yes, same answer really, either automate a pitch plug-in such as AU Pitch, or load the sample in the EXS24 and use the pitch bend, which will make the sample play faster as it's pitched up. oxband
I made a track with the EX24 as my input and I copied the audio file to it. There is no sound coming out. Can a file with the EX24 as the instrument take a non-MIDI file and make something out of it? If so, any idea what the issue is here? Or perhaps use the audio region conversion procedure?
