Trouble: BPM matching mult. Audio tracks in polyphony mode

Hi Everyone, I am confused about this:

When chopping a sample in flex using Polyphony , I am having problems when I want to layer audio tracks. The BPM wont match up. When I add another audio track the sample is at the original bpm, when I want it to be the same bpm as every other sample. How can I fix this?

I dont know if I explained that right. Here is a better explanation.

I'm is flex mode, Ive selected polyphony to chop my sample. When I add another audio track, the bpm's don't match up and when I speed it up or slow it down, it does it to both files. Its kind of like they are always running parallel with each other so there is no way to match the bpm's.

Does anyone understand what Im trying to explain?

Well... first: selecting a flex mode does not a sample chop. But I think I know what you mean.

When I add another audio track

How do you add your other audio track?

the bpm's don't match up

Any particular reason you expected them to match up? I guess this is related to the previous question.

Thanks for the response David.

I've been trying to figure out the right way to chop a sample in Logic for a while now, and Ive watched a few tutorials on it. What I have gathered is that I have to use the flex feature, particularly in polyphony mode. Is that the right way to accomplish sample loops and chops?

I always drag and drop my audio tracks.

I figured my bmps would automatically match up, or at least i wouldnt have the problem I am having now.

How can I match my bpms and still keep my clips timestreched?
