Culljosh
I just upgraded my iMac from 4 gigs of 1067MHz to 8 Gigs. Today I opened Logic 9.1.5 in 64 bit mode for the first time and man it was great opening that quickly. Now I did see this on my Audio Units for the first time: http://i.imgur.com/5giD5.png I clicked the grey box and I could control my Audio Unit. Now then I selected another fresh Audio unit of Verb and it was under a 32 bit section. Regardless after clicking the grey box I was able to use them. Then I noticed in the dock I saw this: http://i.imgur.com/HCplz.png It says a 32-Bit Audio Unit Bridge. So is all well? Is logic truly in 64 bit mode and I am able to use My Audio Units? I was under the impression most of our plugins would not work in 64 bit mode. But as off today I was able to use the Kramer MPX, Kramer Pie, and all others. Will the grey area stay? I do not mind it as long as they are all working... CHEERS!!!! Joshua
triplets
Waves plugins are not 64-bit, so they will open in 32-bit thanks to the 32-Bridge that Apple provided. But that bridge can be a little unstable, so don't expect miracles.

Thanks for the information. I am going to try my lexicon reverbs and others next and make a list of the useful ones. So it can be unstable you say? Also any way around the grayed out boxes? n6smith
The grey box is the 32-64bit bridge... that you have to click on to see the 32bit plugin's interface... so while you have 32bit plugins in your library then you will continue to see that grey box when using one of them in 64bit Logic. Slowly but surely most major plugins are becoming 64 and 32 bit.. so the idea is eventually the bridge will no pinger needed except for older plugins that never got updated It was hoped the Waves v8 would be 64bit.. but for whatever reason Waves choose not to update them to 64bit. Maybe v9?
