Scott Jackson
Having an issue with audio cutting off after a few seconds. When I try to record there's white stripes. Filter out the notes and check for controller messages (probably Volume Data Controller 7). Select them and delete them. The cause may be rogue messages from your controller. You can filter the messages out but it would be best to find out what is causing them in the first place and fix that issue.
taffy
still can't figure this one out...sometime it records ok - stripes and all, other times the sound changes while recording. Thanks.
taffy
yep it's my Axiom Pro 45 or it's Hypercontrol. I swapped controller and no prob. Got the Axiom basically to control Logic, but now that I have TouchOSC I'll be selling it.
taffy
I found out the problem was I was running Logic in 32 bit mode. All is fine now except a few inspirational takes with the white lines. How can I decipher where to remove them? Thanks!

Jordi Torres
All is fine now except a few inspirational takes with the white lines. How can I decipher where to remove them? Thanks! The white lines don't mean that something bad is happening, Since you mention "inspiration", it sounds that the white lines are aftertouch events being recorded when you hit the keys too hard. Like Scott said, you can delete them from the event list (selecting the "infected" region and pressing "E" on the computer keyboard). If you want to block them from being recorded, you can use Logic's MIDI Input filter (Settings > MIDI > Input Filter and check the aftertouch box) Better check first in the event list to make sure they're aftertouch events, but I bet they are. taffy
Thanks I'll try this. I also just deleted selecting the lines that didn't produce a sound there at event with delete key.
taffy
For me, selecting a line in the event viewer and deleting it there only works using the delete key, the e key only opens the event list at media. Will the filtering cause any variance in what's being recorded? Thanks
triplets
The E key is for the event list, not for deleting, that's normal. Filtering will only affect the messages you choose to filter.
