JaredIshoy
Greetings: I recently made a song in Logic, with the Minimal drum kit. I bounced and then burned to a CD but it sounded like crap. I think the culprit is the Hi Hat. Should i try a different Hi Hat? Maybe turning down the volume on the channel strip? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.... triplets
Make sure that Normalize is turned off when you bounce.
JaredIshoy
Thanks for the reply. I called Apple and they had me play the cd on my computer, and there was no problem. So it looks like my portable cd player is to blame. It's a GPX, probably not the best quality. I changed the Hi-Hat to a more mellow one, and i'll buy a new cd player. thanks again..... lookatthisguy
Depending on your purposes for this track, you may want to keep in mind that someone else out there will probably have that same (or similar) "crap" CD player…
JaredIshoy
thanks for the advice. I actually decided to keep the portable Cd player, so that i can make sure my music sounds good on a variety of audio systems. After replacing the Hi-Hat the problem went away, but then the snare sounded like garbage! So i had to change out the snare also, that took care of the problem.....take care.....
