topmav1
How do I get my song to have that rising or building song that leads up to a break? Is there anything in addition to the "White Noise" effect? Thanks
camillo jr
Start by checking out any of the effects categories of presets of any of Logic's synths, particularly the ES2. Also in the EXS, look at the legacy folder for some effects presets. Look through the loop browser for effects too. There's some stock-in-trade stuff that people like to use but why not try something that does the trick in an unusual way?
nmaison
as in stutters? reverse reverb? a build up on bass/snare? i dont know what you mean as in rising?
fader8
i dont know what you mean as in rising? Perhaps he's referring to the accelerando with crescendo typical in Mariachi and East/West Fusion Belly Dance music? Ya know, the part just before she goes wild with the castenets! topmav1
LOL. Quickest thing I can find is starting at 48 seconds in to the track below...is it just automating volume or is it another automation tool that I need to use? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2Z5S_FkfX8 also below at 1:55 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZZ1UZ1zAAQ. camillo jr
Both of your example sound like a high shelving filter opening up slowly. You can do that by automating the high shelf gain parameter in Logic's channel eq.

topmav1
I made a video on some ideas for transition fx like the ones you describe: Ok cool. That leads me to the next question. How to "Automate" so that the knobs move without actually manipulating them...
