Audio interface question

Recommended Posts

I've used a lot of Apogee audio interfaces over the years such as the Ensemble, a Duet, and now the Duet 2. One thing I've really gotten used to with all of these is the ability to control the output volume of Logic with my Mac keyboard's volume arrows. It directly works with all the Apogee interfaces.

Question is, are there any non-Apogee audio interfaces that function in this way, where you can just tap the Mac keyboard volume keys up or down to control volume? (I have to get a multi-channel non-fireware USB audio interface, but don't want the Apogee Symphony because of its fan and price.)

I use the Presonus Firebox and I use my Mac keyboard volume keys to adjust the volume of my studio monitors. Would guess that other Presonus interfaces behave the same but not sure.
