Dividing notes with scissors

Hey everyone. In Digital Performer, there was a way to hold down option with the scissors and it would slice across a midi note based on your grid. I've been able to successfully get the region division to work like that in logic, but is there a way to do it to a note? I'm in the piano roll, and i can get the divide multiple tool up with the option key, but dragging across the note doesn't seem to work. Manual sections on divide multiple and the scissors are both kind of sparse.

Divide multiple does not work in the Piano Roll here either... tool shows with the correct + sign, but no joy.

 

Not sure if this ever worked in the Piano Roll.
